2021 Census

Census Day was held on Sunday 21 March 2021, with a return rate of 97.2%, the highest level since 1991, with over 80% of returns completed online.
The analysis of this data has been co-ordinated by the Data Insight Team and published under the released topic themes below.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) have produced a tool ‘Build a custom area profile’ which allows you to get 2021 Census data by different area types, for example your neighbourhood, ward or parish.
You can:
• find an area by name or postcode
• draw your own area on a map
• choose different topics from Census 2021 data
• save the area you have drawn to use again
• export your area profile as an image or spreadsheet (CSV)
• add your profile to a website
